A puppy moves in

The arrival of a dog can turn life upside down - especially when a puppy moves in. As cute and heart-warming as the little puppies are, the settling-in period and the changes in everyday life can be challenging and stressful.

 


In this theory course, participants are prepared for life with a puppy and provided with information and tips on how to handle them. The lesson is aimed at all dog owners who are still waiting for their puppy and want to prepare themselves as well as those who already have their puppy at home.

With many years of experience managing international customer service teams and a solid education from a management school, I now build on strong leadership skills as the owner and managing director of Hundeschule fairtrain GmbH. Goal-oriented work — even under pressure — is a given for me.

 

Working with diverse human-dog teams is a welcome challenge. My analytical and solution-focused thinking, combined with great patience and passion for both dogs and their humans, forms the foundation of my behavior consultations, individual coaching sessions, and group trainings.

 

Dogs from animal shelters are especially close to my heart. That is why I regularly volunteer for a large Swiss animal welfare organization and support various shelters abroad once a year. My work as a trainer with shelter dogs requires extensive knowledge, empathy, and experience — qualities I have developed through years of practice.

 

Currently, I am undergoing training in canine gait analysis as well as advanced studies in behavior counseling.

With our own shelter dog, we are still working on basic training, reducing arousal outdoors, and addressing his challenges with men and children.

Prisca Elsener

In 2014, I had the opportunity to complete an internship at fairtrain – for dogs and humans, and I have been working as a trainer since 2015. I have also been a member of the management team since 2025.

 


Because so many people and dogs seek advice and guidance from fairtrain – for dogs and humans, I have had and continue to have the opportunity to gain extensive experience in successfully working with a wide variety of human-dog teams and to indulge my fascination with dogs. On the one hand, I train dogs from puppies to seniors, and on the other hand, I lead activity courses—agility, Nadac, lunging, and all-in-one. I apply my expertise primarily in the areas of behavioral therapy, individual coaching, and seminars.

 


I am an enthusiastic agility and Nadac competitor with my own dog.
