In the canton of Zurich exist legal regulations for the training of dogs:
- Attendance of the course for puppy development between the 8th and 16th week of the dog's life (4 lessons)
- Attend the young dog course until the dog is 18 months old (10 lessons)
- Attend the training course within one year if the dog is taken over between 18 months and 8 years of age (10 or 20 lessons)

From June 1, 2025, a new dog law will apply in the canton of Zurich, which will bring changes to the mandatory dog courses for dog owners in the canton of Zurich. The new courses in line with the new law will also be offered at fairtrain from June. News will follow soon.
